The orchestra likes to encourage young composers and over the last few years has commissioned the following:
2012: You are old Father William by John-Paul Bowman (Guildhall School of Music and Drama).
2013: An Eve Owl by Joseph Alexander (Kingston University).
2015: Panta Rhei by Sofía Oriana Infante (above) (Kingston University).
2017: Once in a Big City by Sergey Lunev (Kingston University).
2019: The Incandenza Variations by Greg Harradine
2022: All other things will change by Kit McCarthy
